After too many elections in Indiana, voters often ask “how could that happen?”  Here’s how.  When recent general turnouts are the lowest in the country and some populous counties have primary turnouts at 7%, who’s making the decisions? 

ProgressiveThoughtMatters was formed to make a difference in public policy by diligently working for change.  Only when there is an alternative voice to extreme conservative ideology will we have change that matters at the kitchen tables and at the boardroom tables. 

A Proven Track Record of Success

• ​Outreach to expand Black voter turnout in the 2023 Kentucky statewide elections.
• Targeted outreach to increase Black voter turnout in the 2023 Indianapolis General Election
• Outreach to increase minority voter turnout in 2023 Indiana Primary Elections
• Helped increase minority voter turnout in 2023 Chicago Mayor Runoff
• Targeted minority voter turnout in three Congressional Districts in Indiana in 2022
• Targeted minority voter participation in Pennsylvania in 2022 and 2020
• Worked to increase turnout of minority voters in two Indiana General Assembly Districts in 2020
• Made contact with 132,000 minority voters in Kentucky in 2019
• Worked with grassroots organizations to register 81,000 new voters in Indiana in 2018
• Coordinated outreach to make direct contact with 305,000 voters in Indiana in 2018
• Worked with community groups to increase minority voter turnout by 43% in Indiana in 2016
